Karen Marmo was preparing to get married, and after thinking for a long time she realized that she did not like the usual marriage traditions, this includes throwing the bouquet of flowers for single women to catch. She wanted to do something unique, something everyone could participate in, then she had the best idea.
Karen Marmo has always loved cats and even has two at home, Catbug and Luna. Since her cats could not be at the wedding, she had the idea of paying tribute by throwing a plush cat instead of a bouquet of flowers, and the person who caught the plush cat had to adopt one.
"I thought it would be a fun way to include everyone, regardless of sex or marital status, and it was very me, since everyone knows I'm obsessed with cats," said Karen Marmo.
Everyone who attended the wedding was happy with the idea, so Karen bought a stuffed cat and started preparing this fun game.
"The person who caught him was my friend Emma," Karen said. "She did not want to accept it because she is allergic. The guests sought to catch the stuffed animal and fell on it when she was protecting her face. I donated to my local shelter to make up for it."
All wedding guests adored the touch of the old tradition. Some even said they would do the same thing Karen did at her wedding.
