Heidi, a beautiful German shepherd dog, swam for more than 11 hours to seek help because the ship where she and her owner traveled had had an accident.
After the boat where they were traveling sank, the dog decided to swim for 11 hours to seek help, she didn't want anything to happen to her owner. After several hours, a fisherman who was in Moreton Bay saw the dog, who was surrounded by rubble so he immediately knew something had happened and that he should help her.
The fisherman immediately called the authorities to report what had happened, and in a short time a search mission had been initiated to find and rescue the dog's owner. A helicopter, four police boats, a navy jet ski, and the coast guard had begun looking for the dog's owner.
After several hours and hard work, Heidi's owner was found. The Queensland police reported that the man had been found clinging to his four-meter boat that had tipped over. After being rescued, the 63-year-old man was immediately taken to a hospital where he received medical attention. He explained that his ship had lost energy and water began to seep.
The man also said it was around 15 hours that he and his pet had been missing. He indicated that his dog swam for 11 hours to try to go for help. That's how Heidi became a hero, thanks to the love she has for her owner she was willing to swim for hours to save him.
Heidi and her owner were together again hours after the accident.
