A dog became addicted to eating doritos, this led her to weigh around 10 kg, but luckily she went on a diet to lose weight. Skylar is the name of this dog, she weighs twice what an average Jack Russell should weigh.
Skylar didn’t care about anything, she ate everything in sight, including the dinner of her owner’s other dog, but what she loves most are the nachos with cheese and she is not afraid to eat a whole bag.
Unfortunately, he started having trouble breathing, the vets immediately ordered the dog to exchange junk food for carrots, and Skylar's owner, Mandy Hannigan, said she would take Skylar to walk longer.
She was just a puppy when we got her and she was extremely thin.
She kept growing and growing: my other dog is a bit picky about her food, so Skylar would end up eating her food too.
She ate absolutely everything, and it was very difficult for Mandy Hannigan to say no when Skylar looked at her with tender eyes. Not only did she like Doritos, she also ate Mini Cheddars, onion, sausages, and everything she found.
My neighbor called her twice a day and gave her leftovers of meat, cookies and cheese, so now I have forbidden her to give her something.
I want to help her lose weight for the sake of her health and happiness, so I joined Skylar at Pet Fit Club, a six month diet and exercise challenge, and we hope to be selected as one of the lucky competitors.
The PDSA recognizes that she needs to lose half of her body weight, so our goal is now 5 kg.
Mandy Hannigan fed Skylar with healthy food for dogs day and night, but she hadn't realized that she ate too much during the day.
